Long Saphenous Vein
Concern
Visible veins around right calf and thigh which were causing symptoms.
Consultation
Assessment and duplex ultrasound which confirmed that the visible veins were being fed by an incompetent main vein in the thigh.
Treatment
Foam sclerotherapy was performed in the clinic with no anaesthaesia required. The patient was able to resume normal activities straightaway.
